If you’ve been to a chiropractor before and it didn’t hold, this is probably why.

What traditional chiropractic is aiming at

Your typical chiropractor has three primary goals: temporary reduction in pain, decreasing muscle spasm, and decreasing inflammation.

Those aren’t bad goals. Plenty of practitioners do a good job of hitting them, and if your problem is genuinely a short-term irritation, that may be all you need.

But notice what all three have in common. They’re all aimed at how you feel. None of them is aimed at why you feel that way.

What we do instead

At Vivify we focus on assessing and correcting the neurological and structural function of the body — how those two systems are working together, and how that interaction affects the function and health of everything downstream. We call the protocols we’ve developed Neuro-Structural Correction.

The useful part: when function improves, pain improves too. You just get there by a different route, and what you get tends to stay got.

The check-engine light

Here’s the analogy we use, because it’s the clearest one we’ve found.

Your dashboard warning light comes on. You have two options. You can put a piece of tape over the light, or you can repair the car.

Both make the light go away. Only one of them means anything a month later.

Symptoms — the headache, the numb hand, the back that seizes when you bend — are the light. We call them Secondary Conditions, because they’re secondary to something. Left alone, the primary problem keeps producing them, and you keep treating them, and the underlying dysfunction keeps progressing.

What we’re actually measuring

No one is perfect, and neurological and structural testing will always vary. We’re not looking for textbook. We’re looking for a normal range — the same way medicine has a normal range for blood pressure or body temperature.

Structural shifts, loss of normal spinal motion, and neurological imbalance are three of the main ways dysfunction turns into symptoms. Those are measurable, and they’re measurable before pain shows up. That’s the part most people have never been offered.

Why this ends up costing less, not more

By getting at the root cause instead of covering the effect, you stop paying repeatedly to address the same secondary conditions with progressively more expensive interventions.

And we’re not trying to make you dependent. One of our core values is to empower patients to the point they need us less, not more — which is why we build what we call Protection Plans around holding the corrections you worked for.

Find out whether it applies to you

The honest answer is that it might not. A consultation here is a relaxed conversation with one of the doctors — no exam that day unless you want one, no pressure, no gimmicks.
